{November 6, 2009}   Miss132-Week 3, Day 2

Good morning everyone. Going forward I will be counting both calories and protein grams. As I did some calculations through a health book and determined I should be getting 60 grams of protein a day.

Breakfast-  1/2 cup of egg product, scrambled in microwave. 60 calories and 12 grams of P. A shake of almond milk (60 cal and 1 gram of P.) plus Hemp powder mix from Living Harvest. 3tbsp=90 cal + 9 grams of P. + 1/2 scoop of Designer Whey protein powder in chocolate (for flavor) 50 cal + 9 grams of protein.

Breakfast total:  260 cal + 31 grams of protein.

It may seem heavy on the protein to do 1/2 my days allowance on breakfast but my reasoning is that it’s easy to have these shakes for breakfast and then I’ll want something more substantial as the day goes on, like a big salad, hungry tofu noodles, veggies, etc. and those will not be high in protein.
