{November 16, 2009}   Miss132- Week 4, Day 5

Breakfast – one low carb tortilla 60 cal + 5 grams of protein. plus 1/2 container of Trader Joe’s egg white salad 50 cal + 7 grams of P.

mid morning snack: almond milk 40 cal + 1 gram of P with 1/2 scoop of  designer whey 50 cal + 9 grams of P

mid morning snack: 1/2 container of oysters: 70 cal and 5 gram of P/ cholesterol 60mg or 21%

lunch: one low carb tortilla 60 cal + 5 grams of Protein. plus leftover eggplant 150 cal plus 6 grams of P, plus tofu 60 cal plus 6 grams of P

afternoon: one passion ice tea at starbucks plus one packet of splenda. had temptation for pastry, but instead went home and had another almond milk shake (40 cal) + 1 gram of P, plus designer whey 100 cal plus 18 grams of P. plus raspberries 70 cal.

dinner: gluten free hungry girl pasta noodles 40 cal plus 2 grams of P plus steamed clams from Trader Joe’s 210 cal + 21 grams of Plus 75 mg of cholesterol or 27% of allowance.

Total calories: 1000 (seems like I ate sooo much today or so often!) and 86 grams of protein which was WAY too much. i prob needed more veggies. maybe a late night snack of raw veggies which i have on hand would be good.



{October 31, 2009}   Miss132-Week 2, Day 3

Happy Halloween people! This is my online calorie diary where I track my meals.

Breakfast – one Fiber one muffin 170 calories. Plus veggie juice, not quite a yum, but I’m not going to count the calories here for veggies, just so you know. Total 170

Lunch – a guestimate -had 4 clams and 4 mussels, all steamed, in a thai broth, that I didn’t eat much of cause it was way too salty. there were some sugar snap peas in the bowl. Let’s say 100 for the fish. Bread-3 small pieces + apple butter  (yum) let’s say 100 calories also. And then a small order of french fries with some aioli. I’m guessing here at 300. Lunch total: 500

Starbucks snack – one tall americano with a bit of half and half and 2 sugars. so 100 calories.

Total so far 770.

Dinner: spinach salad with mushrooms plus raspberry vinagrette (100). total so far 870. now, I had a microwaveable steamed pasta with veggies frozen dinner. Now the hysterical thing is the bag says 4.5 servings at 1/2 cup each. Have you ever eaten 1/2 cup for pasta/veggies? HAH! some serving. I ate the entire bag and it was more veggies than pasta, but the sauce must have been a lot. Calories: 400 for the bag. 

New total 1270

late nite snack: the last bag of goldfish (I handed out goldfish bags for Halloween) 130 calories. Plus one glass of red wine 100 calories. Total for day 1500.

500 more than the optimal 1000. I did do a 4 miles light intensity hike. but i worked up a good sweat.

considering it was halloween today, could have been way worse! all in all not ideal but pretty good.

 



{October 29, 2009}   Miss132 – Day 1, Week 2

Scale day. Up two pounds. Yes you heard me. Up two pounds. Well what did we learn from this blog? That too many of my calories come from carbs, I need to up my fruit intake and yes, I should probably spend less time in Starbucks. But I do like to get away from my desk and work somewhere else to cut down on the distractions I have in my office.

So instead of 18 lbs to go, we now have 20 lbs to go. That’s okay. We can do it. (me and my blog are a ‘we’)

Breakfast – one slice of Oroweat bread (40) plus 1 tsp of Smart Balance peanut butter (60) + one glass of grapefruit juice (110) = 210

Going for a two mile walk now. Bye folks.

 

 



{October 27, 2009}   Miss132 – Day 6

Whoa! This online account of my daily eating habits has been very helpful! I’m officially a carboholic. Do they have a rehab place for that?

Breakfast was one roll leftover from the takeout salad last night (100) plus one liquid egg (30) plus tomato slice. total=130

Lunch- a pumpkin cream cheese muffin from Starbucks (430) plus a grande skinny cinnamon dulce latte (130) = 560

Afternoon snack – two slices of Oroweat Light Wheat bread (80) plus Smart Balance peanut butter 1/2 tbsp (100) = 180

Dinner – spinach salad w/tomato and baby corn plus raspberry vinagrette (50) plus two tofu hot dogs (90) plus two more slices of Oroweat Light bread (80) = 230

Dessert – one sliver of pumpkin/yogurt/gram cracker crust = 50

Total for day = 1150

really? that’s all. something seems wrong here because I feel like i ate too much. Maybe it’s just 1150 wrong calories. And again, no fruit. Geez how many days have I not had a piece of fruit?

Exercise – 3 mile walk. interspersed with a few sprints, maybe 5 minutes worth.

{October 24, 2009}   Day 3 – morning!

Beautiful day, but woke starving! walked for 30 minutes trying to postpone eating, probably not a wise thing cause I kind of pigged out!

Bfst: 1 cup of grapefruit juice (110); a grande Starbucks americano with nonfat milk and one sugar (100 estimate), one scrambled ‘egg product’ (30), one slice of avocado (100), one tomato slice (0), one sliver of reduced fat butter (15), one onion roll (150)…505

and then – yikes…i had the second onion roll that i Had bought for tomorrow’s breakfast. (150).

Total for breakfast: 655

That leaves me with 345 for the day. Hmmmmmmmm. diet coke and spinach anyone?

What could I have done better – I should have drank a bottle of water on my walk – I had one on me and for no good reason, I didn’t open it. Dehydration can mask itself as hunger.



{October 24, 2009}   Day 2 evening

Afternoon got stressful though a good kind of stress – I went for a 9 piece tuna roll (estimate 300) plus a grande Starbucks nonfat sugar free vanilla latte (130) not bad.  Then I went for a hike, but there was a run in with a mountain lion, suffice to say, I turned around and burned no calories other than a lot of head turning to make sure I wouldn’t be eaten! I wonder if the mountain lion would like all the diet food that was in my system!

An early dinner was 1 Weight Watchers quesadilla – (200estimate) plus my favorite filler – a spinach salad with mushrooms and raspberry vinaigrette (spelling?) (50).  Then went to a movie with friends, came home STARVING and ate another Weight Watchers frozen dinner (310). yikes, yikes, yikes…..

Total: 1090

plus earlier part of day=Total Calories 1565
